Recipe for a New World Order?
Whilst up in Bedford visiting the farm, I discussed plans for my book with Shane. He thought that Recipes for a New World Order would be a good title; we could reclaim the phrase New World Order (like how I tried to claim Bush's so-called Global Democratic Revolution). I chatted to Saul Albert about it, but he didn't like it, saying that he wouldn't even pick up a book with such a title. Maybe I should just write a load of stuff and self-publish it under a load of different titles to reach … [Read more...]
Visit to Yelnow Farm
The weekend before last I went up to Bedford to visit Shane (one of the founders of the Creative Forum). For the last couple of years Shane has been working for himself running a landscape gardening business. He recently realised that he's working his arse off and not really making enough money (especially now he's a father and has another one on the way). Moreover, making people's gardens look a bit nicer doesn't really give him much of a sense of purpose, so he put the word out for some … [Read more...]

News from Caracas…
Julie, a freelance journalist I met in Caracas, just sent this through... The story so far... Dear All, My apologies for sending round one of these here round robins but tis the best i can do in the time... Well, there is simply TOO MUCH to tell you all about this revolution, but perhaps the most important thing is that it is happening all over the country and is being carried forward not by the officials and bureaucrats but the ordinary people who through a massive effort of will and as an … [Read more...]
Good Weekend, Busy Week…
Had a good weekend...and with Another World Is Blossoming kicking off, plus a load of other work, its going to be a busy week... Thursday night I headed along to Movimientos at the Salmon and Compass in Islington. Geoff was DJing downstairs, so I said a quick hello and gave him an Another World Is Blossoming flyer before heading upstairs to watch the films. The first film was a nice Venezuelan Gov't short about Mision Vuelvan Caras. Whilst in Caracas for the Trollparty I met a friend of … [Read more...]
Another World Is Blossoming
ANOTHER WORLD IS BLOSSOMING: March 1st - 31st, 2006 https://wiki.uniteddiversity.com/AnotherWorldIsBlossoming The systems and institutions upon which we rely for our well-being and survival are at risk of massive failure. Ecosystems everywhere are in decline. The age of cheap plentiful oil is over. Food and energy shortages are on the horizon. Few are aware of the full nature and extent of our predicament and, of those that are, many feel powerless to do anything about it. Corporate media … [Read more...]
