This time we have educator and design activist Kiran Bir Sethi who says “Hope is not a strategy” and teaches childen the power of 'I can'. Sethi has been employing design thinking to develop solutions to some of the most pressing social problems in India. Invisible Children
I came across this via this, though I'm not sure how I ended up there... It is a film about childen who are abducted from their homes to become soldiers in Uganda. Made me think Gloria (and Martin?) could try to do something similar for the girls at Maasai Education Discovery in Kenya. Afterall, the Maasai art's and crafts that the girls make in the MED's Arts Center (which Gloria will be helping to get up and running) look a lot more interesting and useful than the Invisible Children … [Read more...]
