Tescopoly

Following on from our last post on Supermarket Secrets, here is documentary about Tesco….

“Tesco is Britain’s favourite supermarket. With 2,000 stores and 15 million customers a week, it’s almost twice as big as its nearest rival. Dispatches shows how Tesco could soon become even bigger, and asks if this retail giant is abusing its power. www.boycotttesco.com www.tescopoly.org“

Actually, I don’t think this is a very good documentary.

For starters, it gives Tesco the last word.

Moreover, it seems to imply that Tesco wouldn’t be a problem if they faced more competition from the other supermarkets and doesn’t touch on the wider problems of supermarkets generally (eg. Supermarket Secrets.

    Bit disappointing really 🙁

    Ah well.
